Essential Responsibilities (include and aren’t limited to):
CLIENT INTERACTION and FOCUS:
Consistently demonstrates awareness that TAG MM’s clients enable us to thrive as a business; looks for new opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction. Assesses client needs and develops strategic and tactical recommendations. Assists clients in creating business solutions and transforming strategies into tactical plans.
Client Development and Project Innovation: Demonstrates efforts to grow existing business and consistently strives to do things better for clients. Develops various marketing programs within the pharmaceutical industry
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND PULL THROUGH:
Assists in the execution of strategic and tactical planning process with client and internal team
Ensures strategic recommendations to client are in line with client’s business goals
Identifies opportunities for organic growth to assigned clients
Assists and participates in new business presentations
Ensures all projects are strategically aligned with client/brand objectives
Pressure tests briefs against work in development
Responsible for cross-agency collaboration
SCOPE & FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT/MANAGEMENT:
Develops initial annual project plan
Reviews all estimates and staffing assignments
Works with Project Management (PM) Supervisor to develop internal monthly forecast reports
Responsible for providing clients with financial reconciliation reports
Provides sound leadership and is available to staff. Effectively develops staff through the performance appraisal process
Oversees Senior Account Executives and Account Supervisors, and provides coaching and support
Steps in to manage day-to-day tasks as needed
Initiates annual development plans for direct reports
TEAMWORK: Works effectively on cross-functional teams with top decision-makers. Demonstrates commitment to shared team goals; encourages all team members to contribute their ideas and skills; values the contributions of others; and does an equal share of the work
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences is preferred or equivalent experience is required.
5+ years of experience in a medical communications agency. Pharmaceutical marketing experience is a plus.
Managed markets experience is preferred with demonstrated understanding of the payer audience. Multiple opportunities exist; one position requires managed markets and the 2nd does not.
Experience in managing direct reports is required
