The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist reports to the Corporate Manager of Health, Safety & Environment
Windsor, Ontario is one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full service turnkey solutions.

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day environmental, health and safety functions at the Windsor site. The EHS Specialist assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the highest possible degree of safety for employees.
Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, rules, permits and licenses relevant to the site
Facilitate training in compliance with EHS requirements
Conduct job safety analysis and behaviour observations in order to detect and correct unsafe acts or unsafe behaviours.
Lead / Assist in conducting risk assessments – identifying and installing the appropriate controls
Lead / co-chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee abiding by the Terms of Reference
Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree (Human Resources or related field) an asset
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation an asset
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in an H&S capacity
Experience working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or GMP facility is preferred.
