Identify national and regional specific opportunities and barriers to ensure corporate success
Collaborate with the cross-functional field team to develop and implement strategies to maximize product revenues, reimbursement, formulary access, and product pull-through within key payer channels
Develop targeted account management strategies and tactics to facilitate access to Vertex products across all payer segments
Collaborate on product and customer strategies to support brand value propositions and secure market access/formulary acceptance of Vertex products
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key personnel at targeted payer accounts with applicable regulations.
Ability to travel to and spend time in the corporate headquarters office as well as to travel to customer meetings as required
Exhibit ownership and accountability for all projects and internal assignments
Provide market place feedback in a timely manner to corporate management, on customer business trends, competitive updates and industry issues and opportunities.

Required education, skills and experience:
BA/BS degree with vast experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries
Advanced knowledge of the Italian price & reimbursement environment is critical, skilled at identifying, combining and translating complex environmental and business drivers into clear and coherent national plans
Accomplished at selling, representing, negotiating and collaboration.
Familiarity with product launch experience in specialised / high cost drugs highly desired
Familiarity with relevant disease / therapy area preferable (but not essential)
In-depth knowledge of current trends in regulation, pricing and reimbursement in Italy payer market
Deep understanding of the legal, regulatory, payback environment along with demonstrated integrity on the job
Ability to complete projects and achieve goals on time while delivering high quality results
Excellent customer relationship, social, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross functionally
Strong analytical and numerical skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively analyse data sets to determine trends and establish strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
The ideal should be capable to influence management and work under pressure
Self-starter with the ability and desire to take on new challenges, to help build an organization and still be part of a team taking a hands-on approach to projects
Results oriented and excellent analytical, strategic, business planning, communication, and teamwork/collaboration skills.
