The role includes the following responsibilities:
Using scientific knowledge and excellent time management skills, rapidly scan journal content to identify relevant reprint sales opportunities, key marketing messages and appropriate target clients.
Accurately enter article details into our internal database (SMART) using administrative skills.
Produce weekly alerts detailing newly published saleable articles and relevant pharmaceutical news stories to send to our global sales teams.
Produce weekly alerts detailing newly relevant market information and conference events, covering the global industry.
Using our internal databases and business intelligence products, produce custom reports to help inform our sales people (e.g. targeted content searches & producing drug pipeline reports).
Support the maintenance and development of commercial partnerships with other publishers.
Develop expertise with our SMART system to support global colleagues.
A Life Sciences degree (Biomedical modules).
Proven ability to quickly take in and evaluate scientific data.
Demonstrates timely and accurate data entry skills.
Proven ability to work to deadlines.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates computer literacy, with experience of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exhibits strong organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
Previous experience of the pharmaceutical and/or publishing industry(s)
Knowledge of the drug development process /clinical research trials.
Presentation and training skills
